FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL

Dear friends and well wishers,

The Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco are an International organisation dedicated at the service of young people. Our religious family has its origin in the heart and mind of Don Bosco and in the creative fidelity with which  Mary Domenica Mazzarello and her sisters assumed the project he intended, that of being called Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters). It was Mary Mazzarello who, as our co-foundress of this Institute gave life and form to this newly founded Institute.

The story of the journey of the Salesian Sisters is marked by significant milestones, by events that tell of a little seed that has become a large tree, thus providing a place of solace, of life and of hope to thousands of young girls, children and women in every part of the world.

At the heart of our mission as Salesian Sisters, is our commitment to education. Every Salesian Sister is committed to entrust her life to God and to young people.

Education of the young, is the chosen priority at the heart of education. We also work for children and young people at risk, boarding facilities, centres where young people are welcome and where a course of action is taking place to rehabilitate their precarious circumstances and situations of abandonment, leading them to healing their woundedness and to greater maturity in personal freedom.

We, Salesian Sisters, believe that today, we need to be present in solidarity with the young and the poor. It challenges us to courageously serve the cause of justice and peace and to bring about a more humane society, one that respects the dignity of each person. The goal of our life and the goal of our education is our way to happiness.

Holy Child Auxilium School, Vasant Vihar is managed and run by the Salesian Sisters was founded in 1970. The primary aim of HCA is the complete Education of girls, forming in them habits of piety, study, discipline and self – reliance. The constant effort of the school is to develop the individual personality of the pupils and bring out the best and the noblest qualities in them so as to make them mature individual women who are open and committed both to the Divine Spirit and her fellow beings.

Let us forge ahead with commitment and enthusiasm to make our lives something beautiful for God, oneself and others.

Sincerely,

Sr. Lucy John
Principal
